NeuroFIG 16: Disposition of neuron tracts in all four head commissures.
Left lateral view. The amphid commissures are situated at the anterior of the terminal bulb, and the deirid commissures are situated at the posterior of the terminal bulb of the pharynx. The process of SABD travels dorsally through the right amphid commissure to reach the subdorsal cords. The white line indicates that not the whole bulb but rather only the anterior and posterior regions of the bulb are shown. The positioning of the fibers within the commissures is not invariable. (Based on White et al., 1986.)
